If you have short damaged dry hair and looking for tips on how to gain long healthy hair growth you have come to the right blog!

growing your long healthy hair can be a challenge especially if you aren't too familiar with proper hair care routines. These next steps on achieving your hair care routine goal will be very simple.

1. Washing your hair once a week

Now you are probably wondering WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WASH MY HAIR ONCE A WEEK.

well training your hair to be washed once a week is the absolute best thing for your hair, the natural oils in your scalp moisturizing your hair root is the best oil for your hair and stimulates lots of hair growth. Some people assume no hair washing in a week means no showering AT ALL which is not the case here. You can take as many showers as you want just not shampooing or conditioning your hair.

2. Choosing a great shampoo and conditioner with NO parabens or sulfate

Having an amazing shampoo and conditioner for your hair on wash days is the best for hair growth and moisturized hair. Always make sure when you are choosing a shampoo there are no bad ingredients you are putting in your hair, here is a list of ingredients to watch out for.

1. Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate

2. Sodium Chloride

3. Formaldehyde

4. Alcohol

5. Silicones

Yes, this may seem like a lot, but trust me there are many organic shampoos out there that will make your hair very healthy.

3. Finding the perfect leave-in conditioner

Having a leave-in conditioner after washing your hair is a perfect way to have the ends of your hair moisturized instead of them being dry, so this results in healthy silky and in time long hair. Leave-in conditioners are amazing and they also leave an amazing scent to your hair which will boost your confidence in you.

4. Using less heat on your hair

YES, yes, yes using heat on your hair is very addicting, especially if straight or curly hair boosts your confidence going out in public, or anywhere in general. This is why I will not be telling you to quit heat permanently, but to be mindful of how you use heat on your hair. For example, when you are at home going nowhere, there is no reason to use heat, but if you are going out in public, going on a date, or anywhere that involves seeing other people and being open to the public, if using heat on your hair in those scenarios makes you feel confident then use heat. Just be very mindful and try to limit it so that your hair will not become dry, dead, or damaged.

Another thing that can help when you do decide to use heat is a heat-protective layer you add on your ends before straightening or curling your hair.
